About Hype

Hype Lounge, the latest concept of restaurateur, Christophe Jadot (Petite Abeille) and entrepreneur Bill Holt (Hype Gym), was developed because Christophe, Bill and their partners saw a distinct opportunity to offer the city and its sports enthusiasts something unique -- a sophisticated yet comfortable, state-of-the art venue where they can watch their favorite teams in comfort while savoring reinvented, and familiar dishes from the former Executive Chef of La Goulue, and enjoy a carefully curated international list of wines, beers, spirits, and specialty cocktails.

The Hype Lounge experience

  • The decor of Hype Lounge is elevated and refined but never stuffy
  • Hype Lounge features 19 HDTVs and a superior sound system. That means you don't have to wonder whether or not you'll get to watch your team when you join us
  • Expect the unexpected from the Hype Lounge menu; our interpretation and presentation of your game day favorites challenge the status quo; a diverse menu and fresh, locally-grown ingredients delights every palate
  • "Get your ice-cold beer here" - we've all heard that before, but only Hype Lounge can offer you a selection of 50 international and domestic beers, including 20 beers on draft
  • Hottest guest DJs, regular celebrity appearances from the world of sports, special events and parties all make Hype Lounge a place you will want to visit often

  • 03.28.2011 - Yelp: "Really 4 1/2 stars!!!!!!!! Hello blond bartender during happy hour... You made 3 of us friends the best dirty martinis. $6 dollars a glass? WTF? YEH SURE! waittt..wait, so you got tater tots AND macaroni and cheese on the menu???? Holy sh**t those mac and cheese were the best I have ever had in my whole life and I have been everywhere. So you made friends with us, you recommended the mac and cheese and you chatted with us a bit. I am loving it, if you aren't there the next time around I am complaining to the manager because you were just so stunning! Well of course I will come back DUH!!!!! They treated us like we were queens and food was not some sort of gross frozen microwaved shit. They sure were catching those squids in the sea for calamaris and growing the potatoes for their tater tots in the back yard. SO FRESH AND SO CLEAN, CLEAN!"
  • 02.01.2011 - Sheckys Nightlife: "While Union Square is packed with happy-hour joints, a high-end spot for late night revelry is lacking. Enter Hype Lounge, a sexy sports bar that seems to have been plucked directly from the Meatpacking District. While it’s got the requisite bevy of flat screens tuned to ESPN, Hype is outfitted with chandeliers, gilded mirrors and the like to help convince the non-jocks to hang while you check the scores..." Will Be Back and Recommend It For Games w/ All Those Flats or A Product or Project Launch Affair!!! Thumbs Up Hype Lounge!!! Stay True To Your Roots!"
  • 02.08.2011 - New York Times: Customers now seem to embrace the menu at Dantanna’s, where the tuna and hearts of palm are flown in from Hawaii, and where a hot menu item is “the best cioppino this side of San Francisco,” Mr. Kazlow said of the North Beach bouillabaisse. In the sports realm, though, trusty perennials may be upgraded, but not eliminated. “I am not above Tater Tots,” said Mr. Burke of Stadium Grill, “but the challenge is to take something common and make it unique.” Read More >>
